Three players from PVF-CAND, namely Thai Ba Dat, Nguyen Bao Long, and Nguyen Anh Tuan, have been summoned to the Vietnam U23 team for the late March training camp.
PVF-CAND Club has just had three players called up to the Vietnam U23 national team for the training camp in late March 2026, including Thai Ba Dat, Nguyen Bao Long, and Nguyen Anh Tuan. The inclusion of these young faces from the club shows that PVF-CAND continues to significantly contribute to the national youth teams.
Previously, many clubs have also confirmed their players being called up to the Vietnam U23 team. Blue Steel Nam Dinh Club announced that midfielder Ta Xuan Truong will participate in this training camp. This is a relatively new name as the player has not yet debuted for the senior team and remains unfamiliar to fans.
Hanoi Club also has two representatives summoned: goalkeeper Pham Dinh Hai and center-back Nguyen Canh Tai. Meanwhile, SLNA contributes five players, including goalkeeper Cao Van Binh, defender Le Nguyen Hoang, forward Le Dinh Long Vu, and two midfielders Nguyen Quang Vinh and Nguyen Trong Tuan. Except for Trong Tuan being a newcomer, the other players have previously been called up to the Vietnam U23 team multiple times.
Additionally, HAGL also has two players in the list: Dinh Quang Kiet and Nguyen Minh Tam. Center-back Dinh Quang Kiet, nearly 2 meters tall, has been summoned by Coach Kim Sang Sik multiple times in 2025 but has not yet had the opportunity to participate in major tournaments like the SEA Games or the AFC U23 Asian Cup. Furthermore, Bac Ninh FC has one representative, Nguyen Trong Son, and recently Quang Ninh Club confirmed midfielder Tran Hai Anh has been called up.
Thus, as of now, 15 players have been announced by clubs to join the Vietnam U23 team's training camp roster in late March. This list is expected to be further supplemented as the coaching staff continues to review young talents for long-term preparation.
According to the plan, the Vietnam U23 team will assemble in Hanoi from March 17 to prepare for the CFA Team China International Football Tournament – Xi'an 2026 taking place from March 25 to 31 in China. The tournament involves four teams: Vietnam U23, China U23, Thailand U23, and North Korea U23, playing a single round-robin format. This is considered an important opportunity for young players to gain experience, aiming towards preparing the squad for the 2026 Asian Games.
