Due to limited professional contributions, Mahmoud Eid had to bid farewell to Nam Định Club early.
Green Steel Nam Định Club has officially announced the departure of Mahmoud Eid after a brief eight-month association. The Palestinian national team player was expected to elevate Nam Định's attack and become a quality name for the club's international competitions such as the Asian C2 or Southeast Asian Club Cup.
However, Mahmoud Eid's contributions to Nam Định Club were extremely limited. After eight matches, Mahmoud Eid failed to score even one goal for the home team at Thiên Trường Stadium. Initially, Mahmoud Eid was considered for domestic competitions, appearing in the National Super Cup and the first round of V-League, but was subsequently no longer registered to play.
Mahmoud Eid began his career at clubs in Sweden before moving to Asia to play from 2021. Here, this forward successively wore the shirts of many teams in Indonesia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Thailand, accumulating experience in various leagues.
Before joining Vietnamese football, Mahmoud Eid played for Bangkok United and helped the club win two titles: the Thai FA Cup and the Thai Champions Cup. His contributions made Bangkok United's attack more effective and competitive.
Born in Sweden but holding Palestinian nationality, Mahmoud Eid is currently a player for the Palestinian national team. With a height of 1.83m and a good physical foundation, the 32-year-old player can flexibly play as a center forward or a winger.
Mahmoud Eid impressed with his sharp positional awareness, good finishing with both feet, and particularly strong aerial ability. Playing experience in countries like Sweden, Indonesia, Qatar, and Thailand also gave him good adaptability to different football environments.
Notably, Mahmoud Eid once made Vietnamese football fans remember him by scoring against the Vietnam national team at Mỹ Đình Stadium. His goal helped the Palestinian national team secure a 3-1 victory over Vietnam in a friendly match on November 9, 2014.
